Alicia Stamp, DVM

Dr. Stamp was born and raised on the Central Coast. She earned her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Ross University. After several years on the east coast, she came to her senses and returned to our beautiful region. Alicia enjoys hiking, running, cycling, cooking, gardening and spending time with her partner and furry babies. She has a particular interest in rescue pets and is learning to spin and weave fiber.

Siobhan Lee, DVM

Dr. Lee grew up in beautiful Southern California and eventually attended UC Davis for both her undergraduate education and Veterinary Medical School.  Her interests include ophthalmology, surgery and practicing fear-free methods.  During her time off, she enjoys hiking, playing sports, going to the beach, playing guitar and drawing.  She also likes to get competitive during board games.  At home she likes to cuddle up with her two cats, Obi Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader.

Conner Reyes, DVM

Dr. Reyes was born and raised in Long Beach, California. He attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he received his degree in Animal Science and then attended St. George’s University for his doctorate in veterinary medicine. His interests include cardiology, internal medicine, and surgery. Dr. Reyes loved living on the central coast so much during his time at Cal Poly that he decided to move back. On his free time he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, surf fishing, and playing soccer and beach volleyball; but also enjoys hanging out on the couch with his girlfriend and dog.

Robin Shroyer, DVM

Dr. Shroyer has lived in Nipomo for almost 3 decades. She attended Cal Poly prior to admission to veterinary school at UC Davis. Since graduation in 1990 she has taught chemistry part-time at Cal Poly and practiced veterinary medicine in both the 5-Cities area and Nipomo. Robin spends her free time in the garden and walking, with her husband and their 5 dogs (and 1 chihuahua!). Robin also passionately founded and continues to oversee the Animals in Need Fund, Nipomo.

Maggie Wagner, DVM

Our Support Staff

Hospital Administrator/ Registered Veterinary Technician

Jesslyn was born and raised in Nipomo. While in college, she began working at veterinary hospitals to gain experience in the field. Her first veterinary job was cleaning kennels at the UC Davis Vet Med Teaching Hospital. In 2007, she graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a BS in Animal Science. She continued working as a technician at emergency, referral and day practices for several years in Southern California. She returned to Nipomo to raise her family and joined the NDCH team in 2012. Jesslyn obtained her Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in 2015 and began taking over management duties at NDCH in 2017. Her animal family includes 3 dogs, 2 cats, 4 goats, a guinea pig and a horse which are mostly all rescues. She enjoys cheering on her son in all activities (sports and otherwise) and anything outdoors including hiking and camping, photography, gardening and riding her horse.

Registered Veterinary Technician (Dental Technician)
Karen is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has been working in the veterinary field for the past 30 years. She graduated from Western Career College and passed her state board exam in 1991. Originally from Northern California, Karen made her way to the Central Coast 7 years ago and fell in love. She joined the NDCH team in 2016 and we can’t imagine working without her. Her passion for dentistry is infectious and invaluable. Even after 30 years in the profession, she’s never lost her love and compassion for the special animals in her care. In her spare time, Karen loves hiking, walking on the beach and spending time with her husband and their little Chihuahua mix, Gloria. Karen also volunteers for the Children’s Ministries at New Life church in Pismo.

Customer Service Supervisor/Office Manager

Joni is proud to be a part of Nipomo Dog and Cat Hospital. She joined us in 2016, bringing with her 14 years of experience in the veterinary field. A Central Coast native, Joni spend 7 years on the East Coast managing a clinic before she came to her senses and moved home. We are so lucky she did. Having worked in many positions over the years, Joni enjoys the customer service aspect the most. Interacting with clients and their pets on a daily basis is truly her favorite part of the job. Joni lives with her two dogs, Chuck and Billy. Outside the office, Joni enjoys spending time hiking, reading and getting to Disneyland anytime she can.

Veterinary Assistant/Treatment Lead

We are so lucky Ally found us!  Ally came to us with over 10 years in the Veterinary Field.  Through the years, she has gained tremendous knowledge and skills working in both emergency and general practice hospitals.  She is committed to providing the best possible care to all her patients and their people.  Originally from the San Joaquin Valley, Ally moved to the Central Coast in 2016 and feels her life is fulfilled here.  She is the proud mom of Pinkerton, an earless Chihuahua rescued from Visalia, and Avery, blue-eyed male Siamese rescued from the streets of Nipomo.  When not hard at work, Ally enjoys cooking, baking, traveling while spending quality time with her family and friends.  Most recently, she is considering returning to school to pursue her Registered Technician License.

Customer Service Representative

In 2012, Shawna visited NDCH for the first time as a client and was so impressed by the experience, she decided she should work here. We agreed! She left her career in the luxury jewelry industry to follow her passion – animals! Her strong background in customer service and her great attitude allowed her to quickly become part of the NDCH family. Shawna’s favorite things are the beach, her Dad’s apple pie, visiting the Czech Republic, and her dogs Ginger and Georgia Clooney.

Customer Service Representative/Technician Assistant

Originally from Seaside, CA, Flora has called the Central Coast home since 2015.  Since then, she has spent a summer milking cows for the Cal Poly Dairy Unit, graduated with an Animal Science BS degree and best of all, joined our team!  Flora began working in the veterinary field while completing her college courses; we were lucky enough to snag her up after her 2018 graduation from Cal Poly.  A natural with clients, Flora has quickly become a vital member of our team.  She is calm, dependable, level-headed yet upbeat!  When not working, Flora enjoys hiking and going to the beach, and her pup Sunnie!

Customer Service Representative

Marisa could quite easily be described as our most vibrant team member.  With her green hair, colorful tattoos and 1950 Ford Shoebox, her appearance is as bold and wonderful as her personality!  Born and raised in Orange County, Marisa and her husband, Joe, (high school sweethearts!) have raised four amazing kids together, ages 23, 21, 18 and 16.  Marisa is a self-proclaimed foodie and loves planning her adventures based around where she wants to eat!  Most recently, Marisa and Joe became proud UC Santa Cruz and CSU Stanislaus parents as they sent their two oldest children off to college!

Administrative Assistance/Customer Service Representative

Micci began working in the veterinary field right after graduating from high school. She worked previously with Drs. Wagner and Shroyer for almost 5 years. After taking some time off to be with her children, Micci jumped back into the field with the NDCH team. Micci is an energetic, motivated, positive person. Her experience and knowledge provide a wonderful example to the entire NDCH staff. When not working, Micci is trying to keep up with her 4 children, taking walks with her husband and snuggling on the couch with her 2 dogs; one a Saint Bernard rescue, the other a Dachshund mix.

Room Nurse

We’ve been lucky to have Libby on our team since Day One. With a degree from Cal Poly in Animal Science, she brings to us a great deal of experience (and passion) as a Zoo Keeper and Wildlife Rehabilitator. We greatly enjoy her energetic personality, giving heart, sense of humor and attention to detail. When not working at NDCH, Libby is usually painting pet portraits and volunteering for the Animals in Need Fund (AINF). Libby is on the Board of Directors for AINF, maintains the AINF social media and webpage, and co-directs the AINF/Petco cat adoption project.

Elizabeth is a Central Coast native and Cal Poly graduate with a degree in Animal Science. In 2014, she became part of the Nipomo Dog and Cat team. While not exactly sure of the context, Elizabeth is sure she’ll pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine somehow. In the meantime, her kind heart, quick wit and even temper are a wonderful asset to our team. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats Max and Biscuits and her dog, Duck. She also enjoys traveling, camping, photography, going to the movies and crocheting.

Room Nurse

Born and raised in Santa Maria, Amanda joined our team in 2019.  Her matter-of-fact yet easy-going attitude make her a wonderful addition to our pharmacy team.  Since childhood, Amanda has been passionate about working with animals; she loves them of all shapes and sizes, including pocket pets and reptiles!  As an adult, she aspires to become a Registered Veterinary Technician so she can continue working with animals every day!  Regardless of her love for exotics, Amanda’s fur family includes dogs (Eevee and Lilo) and cats (Belle and Oliver) only.  In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling, going to concerts and trying new foods!

A Southern California native, Susan was originally a geologist. After moving to Colorado with her family, she discovered the field of veterinary technology and decided to attend tech school. Eventually, Susan and her family moved back to California (this time the Central Coast) and Susan found us. Joining our team in 2017, Susan brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience. She is a wonderful addition to our nursing team. When not working at NDCH, Susan keeps busy with her husband and their two young children. Susan enjoys cooking, running and of course, rocks!

Veterinary Assistant

Marilyn graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2007 with a BS in Animal Science. She has been working in small animal practice since she was 14, and loves getting to help your pets live a happier, healthier life. She loves all animals and working as a Veterinary Technician is an especially fulfilling adventure for her. No two days are ever the same! At home she is a fire wife and mother to 2 boys, 2 dogs and 2 cats. She’s so glad to be back on the Central Coast and ‘feels blessed to work with such a compassionate, proactive and dedicated team at NDCH.’  When not at work, Marilyn can be found at any number of her boys’ activities;  baseball, soccer, boy scouts, jiu jitsu to name a few.  She also enjoys cooking and camping with her family.

Veterinary Assistant

Nick joined the Nipomo Dog & Cat team in 2019, bringing with him 8+ years of experience in the veterinary field.  To say Nick loves his job is an understatement.  To say we are fortunate to have him is an understatement as well!  A gentle giant, Nick’s calm, easy-going demeanor is appreciated by both our patients and his co-workers.  A Central Coast resident for over 20 years, Nick shares his home with his wife, Stephanie, their two children and their pets: Virgil the dog, Gracie the cat and three lovable rats!  Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music and attending reggae concerts.

Technician Assistant

Karissa became part of the NDCH family in 2019.  As the face of our technician appointments, we hope you will get to know and trust Karissa quickly.  Her positive energy and thirst for knowledge are huge assets to our technical team.  A graduate of the Allan Hancock College Registered Veterinary Technician program, Karissa is actively working toward obtaining her RVT license.  When not working, Karissa spends as much time as possible with her family, especially her young nephew, and her feline fur-baby Kit-Kat.

Kennel Assistant

A homegrown Nipomo girl, Danika graduated from Nipomo High School in 2018 and joined us later that same year.  Working at Nipomo Dog & Cat comes naturally for Danika; she has spent her whole life surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes.  She has shown hogs and turkeys for Nipomo Foothill 4H (winning Grand Champion with her turkey one year!) and proudly carries a flag with her horse for the Elk’s Rodeo in Santa Maria.  Currently her pets include 3 dogs, 2 chickens, 2 horses and a goat.  Danika is grateful for her experiences at NDCH as they prepare her for her dream of becoming a veterinarian, specifically an equine surgeon.  When not at work or school, Danika enjoys spending time with her animal and human family, camping, boating and hiking.

AINF Administrative Director/Veterinary Technician

Dawnde joined our team in 2012. We appreciate her warm and upbeat demeanor. Her work experience includes 5 years in veterinary critical care nursing and 3 years in private practice. In her free time, she teaches yoga, loves to garden, cook delicious vegetarian dishes, knitting and enjoys bad horror movies. She’s compiled her pet family with animals from the Caribbean, Alabama, and beyond. Dawnde is currently working full-time as the Administrative Director for the Animals in Need Fund. We are lucky to have someone so familiar with veterinary medicine in this position!

Scumpi the Amazing Clinic Cat

Staff Stress Reliever/Nap SuPURvisor/Chart Warmer

Scumpi is our special needs clinic cat…coming to us in 2016 as an owner surrender. He was thin and very ill as an undiagnosed diabetic. This most handsome cat-man has made an amazing come-back and has captured all of our hearts. He’s ruled the roost ever since!
